The clear choice for a more sustainable capital

Did you know that London’s tap water is rated top in the UK, making it one of the best in the world? It consistently rates highly in taste tests, beating more expensive, bottled alternatives.

So why are so many consumers embarrassed to ask for tap water when they go out to restaurants and bars? Londoners should be proud of their tap water.

As Thames Water Chief Executive David Owens says: “Our water is 500 times cheaper than bottled water, and is kinder to the environment, emitting 300 times less CO2 to process than bottled alternatives. Tap water is not only good for you, it’s good for London and kinder to the planet.”

The London On Tap campaign is a unique collaboration between the UK’s biggest water company, Thames Water, and the Mayor of London. At its heart, is a competition to design an iconic carafe, which will be used to serve tap water in restaurants, bars and hotels throughout the capital.

Take pride in your tap water – it’s the clear choice.
