The design
A clear glass carafe inspired by the iconic shape of London’s ‘Gherkin’. A recessed groove echoes the course of the River Thames. The London On Tap logo is placed diagonally, in sympathy with the window format of the Gherkin.
The designer
After Steve completed a course on information graphics at Harrow School of Art he began working at the Readers Digest, the result of winning a nationwide typographic design competition.
After six months at Readers Digest he was offered a position at Dorling Kindersley where he worked on a series of practical and coffee table books including a number of gardening titles.
In 2007 Steve exhibited a conceptual garden at the Hampton Court Flower Show, for which he was awarded a silver medal.
